Mrs. Gertrude E. "Trudy" Thompson's Obituary
Gertrude E. “Trudy” Thompson, age 86 of Nashville passed away April 22, 2014. Mrs. Thompson was born on March 31, 1928 in Shelbyville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Doyle Vernon Thompson; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her children, Shearon (David) Frazier, Patricia (Cole Burgess) Powers, Gloria (Lupe) Gutierrez, Michael Thompson, Rickey (Beverly)Thompson, Larry Thompson and Angela Thompson; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Thompson’s life will be held Friday, April 25th at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Jason Mustain officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, April 24th from 4-8 P.M. and on Friday from 11 A.M. until service time.
