Ms. Gladys Marine Jones' Obituary
Gladys Marine Jones, age 88, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Burt and Ella Hedge; one daughter, Norma Shelby Harris; one sister, Madeline Hedge Bell. She is survived by one son, James Shelby (Brenda); two grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Shelby (Kim), Justin Lee Shelby; three great grandchildren, Brittany Shelby, Ashlee Shelby (Austin), Cody Larsen; four great-great grandchildren, Emily, Lucy, Michael, Aubrey; best friend, Carla Holman. Gladys was born and raised in McEwen, Tennessee, moved to Nashville and married and raised her children. She retired from Werthan Bag after 43 years of dedicated service. After retirement she resided at Chippington Towers in Madison until health issues arose and she moved to Vanco Nursing Home in 2012. Gladys was a loving mother and grandmother who always put her family and friends first. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Special Thanks to all the care givers and staff at Vanco Nursing Home for their love and care over the years. Visitation for Gladys will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 1 pm until 5 pm, and again on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 9 am until 11 am at which time a celebration of life funeral ceremony will be conducted from the chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
