Mr. Glenn Smith's Obituary
Mr. Glenn Edward Smith, age 80 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019. He was born on August 24, 1938 to the late Frank and Beulah Smith. In addition to his parents a niece, and a nephew, he is preceded in death by his brothers Randall and Romie Smith, and his sister-in-law Joann Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandy Smith, his sons Jamie Smith (Ashlee) and Jeffrey Smith (Allie), his grandchildren Charlie, Hannah, and Tyler Smith, Kayla Kirby (Connor), and Brody Smith, and He is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He left behind a legacy that will carry on and will be missed by many.
Glenn was a true outdoorsman. He loved going hunting or fishing, and was very passionate about teaching others to fish and enjoy the outdoors. He hosted the Tennessee Outdoorsman Show for 26 years and worked at the Ford Glass Plant for 30 years. He also adored University of Tennessee football. His blood ran orange and his heart beat to the rhythm of Rocky Top. The only thing he loved more was his family. Glenn deeply loved his children and grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with them.
The Smith family requests that everyone dress casually and wear their favorite University of Tennessee gear or something orange in Glenn’s memory to the visitation and services.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 4pm-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10am in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
