Mr. Glenn "Doug" Smith's Obituary
Glenn “Doug” Smith, age 72, passed away January 27, 2024. He was born on September 10, 1951 in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Preceded in death by his father, William Cordell Smith and brother William Dean Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Maggie Bree Sidlinger (David); grandson, Daniel Sidlinger, a nephew, Tommy Smith (Michelle), and a niece, Loree Dickson (Jason).
Doug enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. In his younger years, he was a member of the band, Iron Orchard. He had an appreciation for art and reading Science Fiction. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was affectionately known as a total left brainer. Throughout his life, he worked as a cook and had helped with various restaurants in the Nashville area.
The family will be gathering on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
