Darling Granny,
You are gone too soon. Memories of you teaching me to make gravy, always signing my cards ‘Mom’, tight hugs, the best fudge and butterscotch pies. And your love of my baby girls. I hope you’re holding your Anna and happily on your new journey. I love you, and thank you for helping to raise me.
Faye was not only my sister in law but a very dear friend. She was a very loving person and her family meant everything to her. I feel so fortunate that she was a part of my life.
Rest in peace Faye. You have earned it. Love you.
My beautiful granny; when I was little I would play with all the dolls you had on your shelves. I’ll always remember a little one of an angel; if you pushed its stomach, it said “I am your guardian angel. I’m your special friend.” We naughty kids used to laugh and think it was creepy. Now I think it’s sweet and wish I had it and I know you are a guardian angel now, Granny.
I miss your M&M statue. If you pulled its arm m&m’s would come out and it was the most fun thing for me in the world.
I can remember your smell and your gold earrings and your blue cardigan. A day will never pass that I don’t regret putting spending time with you first. I wasted so many opportunities and I am so sorry.
You were taken too soon as so many have been this past year, but you lived a beautiful life full of so much love. I love and miss you Granny. Rest In Peace ❤️
Some of my greatest memories of Aunt Faye are when I lived with them off River Road. She was there for me when I was pregnant with my first baby. We had a lot of good times together. I remember trying to put my makeup on when she was driving me to the doctor on that crazy curvy road. She is no longer in pain. She is rejoicing with all the family members that have gone before her. RIP I Love You and you will be missed.
Granny was a wonderful, caring, strong woman who I wish I had gotten to know better. She lived a long, wild life, was a genuine friend to all who knew her, and I am immensely proud to be her granddaughter. Her passing is a reminder that life is fragile, and the fact that I didn’t get to spend much time with her is a true tragedy. Her legacy will live on through memory and storytelling... As well as through delicious Southern recipes. Xo
