Ms. Gloria B. Gammons' Obituary
Gloria Burnett Gammons, age 77, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Smyrna. Gloria was born on December 18, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late William Alton and Willie Mae Burnett.
She was a devoted Christian and a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was truly loved by everyone.
Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Burnett; brother William “Bill” Burnett; sisters Mae Byars & Darlene Ulrich.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Donald Gammons; daughters Melanie (Michael) Dixon and Kristy (Steve) Bradley; granddaughters Megan (Jordan) Mayton and Morgan (Eric) Whittemore; grandsons Steven (Kim) Dixon, Travis (Kailey) Dixon, Tyler Bradley and Hayden Bradley; great-grandchildren Easton Whittemore, Courtland Whittemore, and Joshua Dixon; sister Elnora Justice; honorary daughters Sharon Frazier and Rachel Smith; many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 11, at 2:00 PM with Dr. Mike Shelton officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Bradley, Hayden Bradley, Mike Dixon, Steven Dixon, Travis Dixon, Jordan & Megan Mayton, Paul Joyce, and Brandon Joyce. Honorary pallbearers will be Easton Whittemore, Courtland Whittemore, and Joshua Dixon. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
