Mrs. Gloria DuBose Watson's Obituary
Gloria DuBose Watson, age 80, of Nashville, Tennessee went to be with her heavenly father Sunday, December 20, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Delmar Watson; three daughters, Jan Watson, Joy Watson and Liz Watson all of Nashville, Tennessee; one granddaughter Megan Watson; sisters, Reba Bunce (David), Ruby Welch (Eddie) and Berma Ridgeway; brother-in-law, Ted Stalvey (Shirley); and a host of nieces and nephews. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, William and Estelle DuBose; sister, Juanita Stalvey; and brother-in-law, Charlie Ridgeway.
Gloria was employed by Beaman Bottling Company for 23 years. She then went on to work for the Gideons International in 2000, from here she retired. She had traveled the world to such places as Maine, Hawaii, Honduras, Europe, Quebec and Columbia South America to mention a few.
Gloria loved to camp, cook, work puzzles, read and sew. She started attending the Church of the Nazarene at age 7 and remained there for the rest of her life. She worked with the Caravan Program, taught Sunday school and was the leader of the primary department. She loved people and loved to laugh.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will follow visitation at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the funeral home with Reverend Jack Oden officiating.
