Gordon Wallace Hall's Obituary
HALL, Gordon Wallace, Capt. Retd. Age 85 of Nashville passed away on Thursday, March 24th. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served in Iwo Jimo and the Army occupation of Japan. He also retired from the Nashville Metro Fire Department having served 35 years. He was born to the late James and Donnie Hall in Clay Co., TN. He is also preceded in death by his sons, Randall Wallace Hall, Steven Wayne Hall, and Donald Raymond Hall; brothers, Earl Hall and Wilbur Hall; and sisters, Opal Stewart and Delno Willis. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha Hall; daughter, Janet (Bruce) Orndorff; daughter-in-law, Vonnie Hall; grandchildren, Jonathan (Leslie) Qualls, Edward (Alicia) Qualls, Thomas Hall, Christi (Darryl) Emily, Christopher Hall, Sarah Hall, Kim Hall, and Carol (Chris) Johnson; great grandchildren, Conner, Ian, Landon, Gavin, Nicholas, Peyton, Curtis, Abby, and Reece. Honorary pallbearers include retired and active members of the Metro Fire Department, Thomas Hall, Michael Orndorff, Ray Stribling, Thurell Dobinspeck, and Georgia Kin. Active pallbearers: Bruce Orndorff, Victor Mims, Edward Qualls, Jonathan Qualls, Christopher Hall, Jimmy Hall, James Duke, and Buford Putman. Donations may be made to the Linda Mims Perry Educational Fund at David Lipscomb University. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 26th from 2PM-7PM and on Sunday, March 27th from 1PM-4PM. A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM, Monday, March 28th with Bro. Tim Frizzell and Bro. Mike Bumbalough officiating at SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY 5110 Gallatin Rd. 1-(615)-865-1101
