Mr. Gregory Thomas Williams' Obituary
Gregory Thomas Williams, age 44 of Hendersonville passed away peacefully July 25, 2014 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Greg was born on February 25, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Harvey "Bob" Williams, Sr. and Phyllis Jayne Trask Williams. He was preceded in death by his father Robert H. "Bob" Williams, Sr.; grandparents, Arnold H. and Plina Williams; and Carlos C. and Myrth Trask. He is survived by his wife, Stacy Williams; mother, Phyllis Williams; siblings, Debbie Nash (Randy, Sr.), Robert H. "Bobby" Williams, Jr. (Donna) and Doug Williams; step-daughters Alexandra and Symantha Terrell; nephews, Randy Nash, Jr. (Ashlee), Phillip Nash (Brittany), Robert H. "Robby" Williams, III; niece, Tori Williams; and many dear relatives and friends. Greg was born in Detroit; moved to and was raised in Nashville when his father opened Bob Williams Lincoln-Mercury in Rivergate. He was a 1988 graduate of Goodpasture Christian School and attended Northwood College. Following the sudden death of his father, Greg was part-owner and operator of Bob Williams Lincoln-Mercury until November, 2004. He worked in the automotive industry for over 25 years. Greg helped to organize Crime Stoppers of Robertson County and served on its board for many years. He had a special interest in law enforcement and was a great friend to the law enforcement community. A Celebration of Greg’s life will be held on Monday, July 28th at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church Hendersonville, 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, Hendersonville, TN with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Special Remarks will be given by Bobby Williams and Matthew Dudney; special music by Christy Sutherland and Joe Walker. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, July 27th from 4-7 P.M. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and on Monday one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Hendersonville. Active pallbearers will be: Phillip Nash, Robby Williams, Jeff Corn, Bill Miller, Jason Moore, Matt Dudney Trent Bain, Jason Corley and Jeff Cowden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Greg Williams Memorial Fund at any Volunteer State Bank or the charity of your choice.
