Mr. Harold Gibson's Obituary
Harold Gibson, age 94, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020. Harold was born December 18, 1925 in Nashville, TN the son of Henry and Lillie (Ashburn) Alvin both of whom preceded him in death.
Harold married his wife Ellen on April 3, 1967 in Franklin, Kentucky. Harold worked in education as a teacher and eventually worked as the Assistant Principal for the Antioch High School. He enjoyed traveling with Ellen and loved visiting New Orleans, San Francisco and New York as a few of their favorite places. Harold proudly served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War 2. He was a member of the Hermitage Methodist Church for many years. He loved spending time with family and he will be greatly missed.
Harold is survived by his wife of 52 years Ellen Gibson, his children Teresa Murphy, Mark Gibson, Nancy McGuire (Jack) and Lisa Greene (David). He is also survived by his grandchildren Patrick Milligan, Connor Milligan, Tanner McGuire, Michaela McGuire and Carson McGuire.
Harold’s graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Dr. Garry Speich Officiating. Navy Military Honors will also be held at the graveside.
