Mr. Harold Lutenbacher, Sr.'s Obituary
Harold “Hap” Lucien Lutenbacher, Sr. was born on December 13, 1929 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. Harold was the fourth son, and youngest child of John Berthold Lutenbacher, Sr. and Cecile Antoinette Carmouche Lutenbacher.
Harold was a 1946 graduate of Warren Easton High School, lettering in basketball and played on city and state championship teams. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served his country for five and a half years, two years during the Korean Conflict. A graduate of Tulane University, he earned a BBA in 1956 and a MBA in 1958. Joining Shell Oil Company in 1956 in New Orleans, he went on to work in New York, California, Houston, and The Hague, Netherlands. After 35 years Harold retired, at age 59 to travel and enjoy being with family and friends.
Harold had a passion for youth and sports. He was an official for little league and high school football teams, and the Sugar Bowl. He also was an avid fisherman and hunter. Harold was a member of the American Legion, Inglewood – Nashville #0082, and Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Madison, TN.
Harold was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and good friend; who will be missed by his loving family and many who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, John Berthold Lutenbacher, Jr. (Yvonne), David August Lutenbacher (Patricia), and Stanley Alexis Lutenbacher (Juanita).
Harold is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 66 years, Imogene Summers Lutenbacher of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; two daughters, Melanie Lutenbacher (Robin) of Nashville, Tennessee and Yvette Elizabeth Casey (Patrick) of Pegram, Tennessee; son, Harold Lucien Lutenbacher, Jr. (Mari) of Iwata Japan; seven grandchildren, Celeste Marie Howell, Laura Ashley Casey Nicholson (Ritchie), Brian Patrick Casey, Sara Elizabeth Lutenbacher Webne, Jacob Aaron Lutenbacher Webne, Harold Kenji Lutenbacher, and Joshua Shinji Lutenbacher; one great grandson, Aiden Dennis Hailey-Casey, and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1225 Gallatin Pike South Madison, Tennessee 37115) beginning at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. There will be an additional visitation on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the church. Entombment will follow the service in the historic Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors to be rendered.
Serving as pallbearers will include, Patrick Casey, Brian Casey, Ritchie Nicholson, George “Robin” Foster, and Jacob Webne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital or the American Legion, Inglewood-Nashville #0082.
