Mr. Harold Warren Reynolds' Obituary
Harold Warren Reynolds went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the age of 79 years. He was born June 2, 1937 in Oregon City, OR.
He was the second oldest son of Warren St. Clair Reynolds & Nettie Marie Stewart Reynolds. Harold grew up in and around the Portland, OR area. He joined the Army at 17 and was a paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne Division, U S Army, where he was stationed at Fr. Bragg, NC. Shortly after an honorable discharge, he met the love of his life in 1958, Barbara Ann Elizer, and made his home in the West Nashville area.
Harold provided for his family through the years with several successful businesses to include Reynolds Paving, Inc. & Re-el Top Soil LLC. He was one of the hardest working men one would ever meet. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, horsemanship, boating, traveling with great friends and just being with his family and grandchildren. Along with three daughters, he also helped to raise his two eldest grandsons, Andrew and Jacob Clark, as well as 3 nephews through the years, Howard Reynolds and Mark and Brad Zimmerman…showing them his love of church (Pegram Church of Christ), his work ethic and his love of family.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brother, Howard Reynolds and sister Ione Spain. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Elizer Reynolds; daughters Deborah Reynolds Matthews, Susan Reynolds (Ajoy) Garapati and Mary Ellen Reynolds (Jesse) Reed. His grandchildren are Carrie Kathryn Matthews (Michael) Stafford, Kala Ann Garapati, Andrew Warren Clark, Sarita Marie Garapati, Jacob Matthew Clark and Jackson Lane Ola. Brothers Lee Reynolds and Fred Brugger. Sisters Dorothy Reynolds Cole and Joanne Brugger Willaby.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN, with Jason Allison and Jerry Mercer officiating. Visitation is Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 5 – 8 pm, Visitation on Thursday, May 25, at 9 am with the Funeral Service at 10 am. Burial is immediately following. Serving as pallbearers will be Marshall Elizer, Ben Elizer, Andrew Clark, Jacob Clark, Howard Reynolds and Jesse Reed.
