Harold Glen Smith's Obituary
Harold Glen Smith, a devoted family man, passionate traveler, and dedicated servant to his community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5th surrounded by the people he loved most.
After serving his country as an Air Force Mechanic, Harold built a long and respected career as an insurance auditor; he approached his work with a deep sense of responsibility and pride.
Harold was an avid traveler seeing 29 countries and all 7 continents. He loved to explore new places and spend time outdoors—especially camping beneath open skies.
His happiest moments were often around a campfire, sharing stories, laughter, and good company.
A dedicated volunteer, he gave countless hours to causes close to his heart. He was especially active with Second Harvest Food Bank, the parks service, and other community organizations, always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed. His service extended to the next generation as well—he was a proud and committed leader of Boy Scout Troop 256 and Troop 22. Through mentorship, outdoor adventures, and a steady example of character, he helped shape the lives of many young people.
Above all else, Harold cherished his family. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a truly proud grandpa. His grandchildren were his joy, and he never missed a chance to celebrate their milestones.
Harold is survived by and continues to live in the hearts of his loving wife of 66 years, Aline B. Smith; two children, Rob Smith (Kimberly) and Antony Smith; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren
