Ms. Hazel Jean DeSheles' Obituary
Ms. Hazel Jean DeSheles, age 87 of Joelton, Tennessee passed away on Sunday July 24, 2022. She was born on July 5, 1935 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Dewy and Rose Demonbreun. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lucien DeSheles Jr, son Lucien DeSheles III, daughter Reda Dixon, and grandson Daniel Judware. She is survived by her children Barbara Grice (Ken), Larry DeSheles, Rose Phillips, Beverly McCuiston (Chris), Brenda Wooden (Barry), and Christy Davis. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of loving extended family.
Hazel was the sweetest person you would ever meet. She was a God loving and God fearing Christian lady, and her faith was of utmost importance to her. She was incredibly strong and raised eight children on her own after the passing of her husband Lucien. She loved crocheting, browsing Goodwill and yard sales for deals, watching movies and classic TV shows like Andy Griffith, Little House on the Prairie, and The Waltons.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 13 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The committal service will immediately follow.
