Helen Frances DuBose's Obituary
DUBOSE, Helen Frances, Age 95 of Cookeville, TN formerly of Madison, passed away peacefully in her home September 11, 2009. She was born in Nashville, in 1914 to the late Guy Slack and India Jackson Slack. She was preceded in death by her husband; Robert F. DuBose, and very special friend, Katherine Pearce. Mrs. DuBose was a graduate of Hume-Fogg High School and successful businesswoman retiring from Frank Davis Buick after 26 years of service. She was a longtime member of Inglewood Baptist Church where she was active in the Faithfull Workers Sunday School Class. She was a dedicated care giver for her family. She is survived by 3 nieces, Kay DuBose of Hendersonville, TN, Jean Bullard of Canton, GA, and Ann Dyer, of Cookeville, TN. Funeral Ceremonies will be conducted on Tuesday September 15, 2009 at Noon in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dr. James Chatham and Dr. Kevin Shrum officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM until Noon at Spring Hill. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park where pallbearers will be Butch Atwood, Don Dyer, Fred Harber, Harry Sanders, Joseph T. Scardina, Joseph J. Scardina, and Bob Motley. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Burrus House of Ingleood Baptist Church.
