Herbert G. Larson's Obituary
LARSON, Herbert G.; Age 83 of Madison, TN passed away September 1, 2010. He was born June 13, 1927 in Hamilton, Ontario Canada to the Late Augustus and Florence Larson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, George, Lloyd, and Charlie Larson. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Jones Larson and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Larson was a professional wrestler known by the names of, Elmer the Rocket, The Mighty Yankee, The Medic and many more. He was a successful entrepreneur, owning his own restaurant and lounge, a charter member of the West Nashville Moose Lodge, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Mass will be at St. Edward's Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 2:30PM with Father Joseph Breen Officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 6-8PM at Spring Hill and on Tuesday before Mass from 1-2:15PM at St. Edward's. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Kemp, Larry Larson, Charlie Larson, Rick Tompkins, Wayne Beck, Glenn Wey. Honorary pallbearer will be: John A. Hobbs, Eddie Bryan, Tom Powell, Ray Lawson, Ronnie Donoho, Mike Heinrick. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Edward's School, the Humane Society or to Alive Hospice.
