Mr. Herlon Douglas Milliken's Obituary
Herlon Douglas Milliken, age 82, passed away from an extended illness on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Adam’s Place Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 08. 1940. Herlon was the son of the late Willard Milliken and Leola Summers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Milliken.
Herlon had several trades working for Dupont Manufacturing, Avco Aerostructures and worked in carpentry for many years. Herlon was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church (Joelton TN). He was a 32nd degree Mason, belonging to the Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge #271. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, sports, fishing, gardening, collecting antiques, telling jokes, and an unwavering love for his family and his dog Chole.
He is survived by his wife Judy Woods Milliken, son Travis Milliken; daughter Angela (Mike) Jedlicki. He has 5 grandchildren, Kara Haddon (Tillman); Alisha Nance, Trevor Milliken, Layce (Kelton) Martin and Trace Milliken. He has two great grandchildren; Kaylee Haddon and Rucker Martin, as well as extended family and friends.
Visitation will be at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216 on Thursday, December 1 from 4pm-7pm. A private graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Corey Minter, New Hope Freewill Baptist Church on Friday, December 2 at 1pm in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with visitation at Spring Hill Funeral Home one hour prior.
