Mr. Herman A. Tucker's Obituary
Herman A. Tucker, age 87 of Nashville passed away December 12, 2013 surrounded by his family. Mr. Tucker was born in Nashville, TN on October 5, 1926 to the late C.O. and Katie Tucker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Baugh, Velma Savage, Lena Farris and Jean Binkley; and his brothers, William, Robert and Tom Tucker. Mr. Tucker was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; he owned and operated a body shop, Auto Laundry for over 40 years and was an avid Ham Radio operator. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Vera Tucker; children, Jan (Robert “Tomato”) Barry and Ron (Lisia) Tucker; brother, Charles Tucker; grandchildren, Brian Barry and Amy (Jay) Upchurch; and great-grandchildren, Damon and Drew Upchurch. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 15th at 1:30 P.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Ralph Griggs officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
