Mr. Herschel G. "Sonny" Gregory Jr.'s Obituary
Herschel G. “Sonny” Gregory, Jr., age 72 of Nashville passed away January 18, 2014. Sonny was born on February 1, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Gaston and Rose Mary Gregory. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanette Wolf and Nancy Slater. Sonny was a graduate of Father Ryan High School and Western Kentucky University. He is survived by his loving companion, Vivian Gregory; children, Rose (Mark) Naccarato, Suzanne M. Gregory and Herschel “Bo” Gregory, III; 3 grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Mitchell and Christine Nelley. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Saturday, January 25th at 11:00 A.M. from St. Ann Catholic Church with his nephew, Father Steve Wolf, celebrant. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24th from 4:30-8:30 P.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church with a Rosary Service to be held at 7:00 P.M. There will also be visitation on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 A.M. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, 5101 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37209.
