Celebrating the Life of Hiram Wilson: Loyal Rider of Life's Journey
February 23rd, 1931 - July 19th, 2025
With the hum of a Harley Davidson and a heart full of humility, Hiram Wilson journeyed through life as a loyal companion, devoted father, and cherished grandfather.
Born on February 23rd, 1931, in Cornell, Wisconsin, Hiram was the beloved son of Oliver and Louise Wilson, both now passed. In 1948, he began his service to his country, rising to the rank of Sergeant during the Korean War while working on and with tanks. His steadfast loyalty and humble dedication shone brightly during these formative years.
After returning home, Hiram found love and partnership with Martha Wilson, and later with Bonnie Wilson, both of whom preceded him in passing. He also preceded in death by his siblings, Dave, Chuck, Bea and Lorraine.
He is survived by his loving children, daughter Mitzi (Mike) Collins and son Steven Shermick.
Hiram was a proud grandfather to Sophia Choy, Jason Choy, Tonia Watson; great grandchildren, Sophonia Choy, Ilanda Choy, Kayla Choy, Angela Choy, and Dusty Sladewski; 2 great-great grandchildren and nephews, Randy Wilson and Lee Wilson. His family were the joy of his life, and he delighted in sharing stories and laughter with them.
Known for his vast knowledge and modest demeanor, Hiram was a man of few words whose loyal and humble nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His love for the open road was legendary among family and friends. His Harley Davidson wasn't just a motorcycle—it was an extension of his spirit and a symbol of the freedom he cherished. As a dedicated member of his motorcycle club, he found camaraderie and joy in every mile ridden and every place traveled.
Though he never sought the spotlight, his quiet strength and gentle wisdom guided his family and enriched the lives of those around him. Hiram's journey may have reached its final destination, but the memories we've shared will forever ride along with us. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
