Mr. Homer J. Beliles' Obituary
Mr. Homer J. Beliles, age 88 passed away October 24, 2015. He was born on October 25, 1926 in Hopkinsville, KY to the late Homer and Opal Beliles. Preceded in death by his parents, wives Joan Pardue Beliles and Marie Taylor Beliles.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Fran Herndon Beliles; brother Bill Beliles; children Ray Beliles (Maria), Sara Jo Beliles, Betsy Beliles Fletcher, Tina Caldwell (Ken), and Dawn Meek (Greg); grandchildren, Stephanie Beliles, Philip Beliles, Adam Fletcher, Trey Caldwell, Sarah Kathryn Meek, Taylor Caldwell;and numerous nieces and nephews,
Homer faithfully served his country during WWII in the US Navy. After returning home, he played college basketball for Kentucky and MTSU where he graduated. He was the owner of the Purple Heart Motel and the B & B Restaurant for over 30 years. In addition to owning the motel and restaurant, he worked in real estate. He was a former member of Madison Church of Christ and Harpeth Hills Baptist Church. He was a current member of Bellevue Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing tennis, golf and spending time with his friends. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank his special friends Mr. and Mrs. Pat Harrison for all their help this past year. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015, 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Shelton and Bro. Raymond Langlois officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his son, sons-in-law, and grandsons. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 2:00-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday 11:30-1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101.
