Mr. Homer Proudfoot's Obituary
Homer Lewis Proudfoot, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Erin, Tennessee. Homer was born on January 8, 1937 in Athens, Tennessee to the late James Lewis and Flora Bell (McGruder) Proudfoot.
Homer received enjoyment with anything to do with trains, specifically Tennessee Central. He had the ability to talk for hours, thus making his “story telling” memorable by his family and friends. He had a great love for his family and cherished the life that he had been given.
Mr. Proudfoot is preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Glenda Proudfoot.
He is survived by daughter, Betty Draper and husband, Mark; sons, Michael Proudfoot, and wife, Linda, Robert Proudfoot and wife, Kelly; five grandchildren, Amy, Savannah, Melissa, Christopher, and Brittney. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Allen Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11 from 11AM until the time of the service.
