Hope Brookes Ellis' Obituary
Hope Brookes Ellis, age 76, passed away on April 30th, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on August 1, 1946 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Hope graduated from high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was a champion Junior Olympic Swimmer. She was the loving wife of Clarence “Buddy” Ellis for 49 years. Hope was an outgoing and fun person who loved people, especially the members of White House Church of Christ. She never met a stranger and wanted to be friends with everyone she met. She worked for Walgreens Pharmacy for 50 years as a bookkeeper and cashier.
Hope is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Millicent Brookes, son Brian Timothy, and brother James Brookes. She is survived by her loving husband Clarence Ellis, daughter Kristina Giovanetti, brother Richard (Cheryl) Brookes, sisters Dawn (Steve) Turner and Dale Giotes, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
