Ida was a perfect southern lady that loved God and her family. She was always willing to help anybody she could, and never put herself first. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she could often be found working in the kitchen serving up special dishes for those near to her heart. She found enjoyment working in the yard and cultivating her flower garden.
She was a long-time member at Faith (Hillhurst) Baptist in Nashville and taught childrens’ Sunday School classes for many years. She was an avid Bible reader and found peace and comfort spending time among the pages of her well-worn copy. Her favorite scripture was found in David’s Psalms, Psalm 121 verses 1 and 2.
Psalm 121
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
She was easy to love, and she loved everyone unconditionally. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
