Ms. Idalia Dowlen's Obituary
Idalia Heloise (Davis) Dowlen, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Murfreesboro. Idalia was born in Ashland City on February 24, 1931 to the late Arnold Jefferson and Vadith (Kessler) Davis.
She is survived by her son, James Beazley (Jay); daughters, Elizabeth Gay Neal (Ed), and Candy Joyce (William); grandsons, Bob Roberts, and Brian Neal; sister-in-law, Margaret Davis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Winfield “Wink” Dowlen; brothers, Billy A. Davis, and Bobby Leon Davis; sister, June Colleen Davis.
Idalia loved puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and gardening. She had a green thumb and could take a twig and grow a tree. She loved with her whole heart, forgave easily, and is happily dancing with Jesus today. She was a member of the Westvue Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9 am until 11 am at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at 11:00 am in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in with interment to follow.
