Mrs. Inez Payne's Obituary
Inez West Payne, age 86 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday August 30, 2019. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Ira and Estella West. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack Neil Payne, Sr. and her son Barry Payne. She is survived by her sons Kelly Payne (Lisa), Neil Payne (Jeannie), and her daughter-in-law Mary Jane Payne, her grandchildren: Wes Payne (Katie), Melissa Payne, Corey Payne (Briana Calov), Christopher Payne, and Brandon Payne. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Adley, Ella, Emmy, and Kadence Payne, as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Inez was always the ultimate homemaker. When her children were young, you could find her making her children grilled cheese sandwiches and french fries and visiting the pool with them in the summers, staying home with them on snow days in the Winter. And despite raising three boys, any time you ever visited her home, it was immaculate. Her family talks about how she would always make birthdays special by making your favorite meal, and your specially requested birthday cake. She loved caring for her family in every way possible, and spoiled them all. Inez was very talented and she had lots of hobbies including painting, cooking, quilting, and sewing.
Visitation for Mrs. Payne will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 10:30am-12:30pm, with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning at 12:30pm. Burial in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery will follow. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Mrs. Payne. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
