Mrs. Iris A. Thompson's Obituary
Iris A. Thompson, age 82, of Nashville went to be with her heavenly father Wednesday, December 2, 2015. She was born July 22, 1933 to the late Buster and Corine Sadler. Iris is also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Thompson; brother, Charles E. Sadler; step-daughter, Evelyn Shindler; and her very best friend, Roberta Wadley. She is remembered by her family as a devout Christian who loved children but especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cross word puzzles and reading the bible.
Iris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Alice Bryant; step-son , Wendel Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Vivan Sadler; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Billy Lindsey; grandchildren, Nakea and Nathan Bryant, Marie Chadwick, Julieta McPherson and Christy Sissom; great-grandchildren, Akilah Fisher, Zuri Frith, Ethan, Xander and Graycee Jane Bryant, Grady and Isabelle McPherson, Abby Jo, Shawn and Cora Wilson, and Penelope Chadwick; her best friend, Margie Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will follow visitation at 10 a.m. Interment in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
