Mr. Irving Joshua Johnson's Obituary
Irving Joshua Johnson, age 71, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away April 16, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Irving Joshua Sr. and wife Josephine Mildred Johnson; one sister, Carol Ann Johnson. Irving is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 50 years, Joy Dianne Johnson; one son, Paul (Laurie) Johnson; one daughter, Melissa Wynne (Tom); two sisters, Jo Ann Bentzinger (Ron), Judy Johnson Altemose (Thom); four grandchildren; Ashley Wynne, Kenadie Wynne, Andy Johnson, Corey Johnson; several nieces and nephews. Professionally, Irving graduated from MTSU with a masters degree in education and was the business manager at the Tennessee School for the Blind for 18 years. “Irv” will be best remembered for being a family man and enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with his family, working in the yard, going to his grandchildren’s ball games, having fun riding in his convertible and listening to 80’s classic rock.
A memorial service will be conducted on April 25, 2017 at 1 pm in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tn., 37216. In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be made to the Tennessee School for the Blind.
