Mr. Jack Pitt's Obituary
Jack Terry Pitt, age 87, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Madison, Tennessee. Jack was born on July 1, 1930 in Sumner County, Tennessee to the late Blonnie Pitt and Stella (West) Pitt.
Mr. Pitt served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a businessman, who owned the Hearth Restaurant, The Madison Hotel and several other properties. Jack enjoyed the time that he was able to spend fishing, boating and traveling. He had a great love for his family and cherished the life that he had been given.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Betty Carol Pitt; sons, Terry Ray Pitt and Donnie Pitt; sister, Estelle Kerr.
Mr. Pitt is survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Pitt Schreibfeder, Laine Schenkelberg, and Benjamin Pitt; great-grandchildren, Xavier Barnett, Fiona Schenkelberg, Davison Schenkelberg, and Jonathan Schreibfeder.. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11 AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 4 PM until 8 PM with an additional visitation on Wednesday from 10 AM until 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Mark Culbreath, David Culbreath, Phil Schreibfeder, Eric Schenkelberg, Jacob Tate and Mitch Grissim.
