Mr. Jack Shelton's Obituary
Jack Wade Shelton, II, age 67, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. Jack was born on May 9, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Jack Wade Shelton and Mary Magdalene (Hunley) Shelton.
Jack was a Structural Engineer and was the oversight supervisor on several Nashville landmarks, including The Vanderbilt Stadium, Nashville Convention Center, and the Stouffer Hotel as well as multiple hospital and surgery locations throughout the United States. Jack can be described as a “jack of all trades” and will always be remembered for his “story telling”, at times he could embellish those stories. Jack never met a stranger and had a great love for his family. He cherished greatly the life that was given to him.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah (Miller) Shelton; daughter, Ashley Shelton Griffith, and husband, Aaron; son, Taylor Shelton; grandchildren, Nona Leigh Griffith and Nicholas Rhys Griffith. Mr. Shelton is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Joel Wilke of Life Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with an additional visitation held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Aaron Griffith, John Jackson, Danny Mays, Bruce Mixer, Robert Langford, and Sandy Barr.
