Mrs. Jackie Davenport Henderson's Obituary
Jackie Davenport Henderson, age 82 of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away March 21, 2024. She was born on May 27, 1941 in Arkansas to the late Jack Davenport and Juliet Adams Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Cassandra Henderson Ezell. She is survived by her loving husband, Don Henderson; son Barry Henderson (Michelle); grandchildren Elizabeth Henderson, Andrew Henderson, and Jeremy Gilchrist; great-grandchild, Kolby, Kylie, Bristol, and Bryson Gilchrist; and her two sisters Carolyn Boyce (Bill) and Francis Hoefar (Delbert).
Jackie met the love of her life, Don in Texas and was married for over 64 years. She worked for many years serving others as a nurse for the State of Tennessee. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Hermitage United Methodist Church. The most important part of her life was her faith and her family. She loved to travel and visit places like Hawaii, the Cayman Islands and all the beautiful places in the world. She was a faithful friend that was loyal and loved with her whole heart.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Hermitage United Methodist Church, 205 Belinda Drive, Hermitage, TN 37076 with visitation from 10:00a.m.until the time of service. Pastor Jimmy Hendricks and Pastor Allen Black will be officiating and entombment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216. Memorial contributions may be made to Hermitage United Methodist Church in Jackie’s honor.
