Mr. Jackie Stroud's Obituary
Jackie Coleman Stroud, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Franklin, Tennessee. Jack was born on August 23, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee to Harry Coleman Stroud and Pearl Alma (Murff) Stroud.
Jack enjoyed hunting and traveling. He also enjoyed athletics of all sorts, especially high school sports. He played softball with friends and family until he was 68 years old. Jack was a long time member and a deacon of the former Two Rivers Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree York Rite Mason.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by sister, Lucy Ferrell.
Daddy Jack is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gail Alexander Stroud; daughter, Shaunna Stroud Lanier and husband, Tim; sons, Shane Stroud, Sean Stroud and wife, Jill, Slade Stroud and wife, Susan; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; best friend, Jerry Parrish. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Isaac Litton Gym, Jackie’s Alma Mater, class of 1958, 4500 Gallatin Pike Nashville, TN 37216. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11 AM at the gym. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to Isaac Litton Alumni Association, P.O. Box 752 Madison, TN 37116-0752 or the charity of your choice.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Shane Stroud, Sean Stroud, Slade Stroud, Coleman Stroud, Jackson Lanier, Tim Lanier, Zeke Stroud, Ike Stroud, and Isaac West.
