Mr. James Andrew Brent's Obituary
James Andrew Brent was born in Nashville, TN. March 18, 1957 to Andrew Jackson and Jerry Amelia Brent.
He is preceded in death by his father Andrew Jackson Brent, and a brother Edwin Alford Brent. He is survived by three sisters Patty Geist, Michele Bissig (Patrick), Glory Sipes (Chris), and a brother Lee Brent (Tina).
Andrew was raised in Louisville, KY as the oldest of five brothers and sisters. He loved country music, was a wonderful artist, enjoying painting, drawing and ceramics. Not long after high school Andrew enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as an electronics repairman. Following his discharged he resumed his life near his childhood home.
Andrew moved to Chillicothe, Ohio in 1994 under the care of the Veterans Administration due to his declining struggles. For the last twenty-two years, Andrew had been cared by a wonderful woman in a group home in Chillicothe, with other men living with similar struggles. He was able to have a good life and enjoyed spending time with his friends, who became his extended family. Andrew had the biggest heart in the house, sharing all he had and helping to care for the men who surrounded him.
Andrew was the most loving and caring person you would ever want to meet. More than once he give all he had to a complete stranger because he saw they were in need.
Outside of his family and friends, Andrew loved the Lord with all of his heart. He enjoyed attending church when he could, often becoming deeply moved by the worship.
Andrew passed peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Monday, September 30, 2019.
