Mr. James Albert Brown Sr's Obituary
James Albert “J. Albert” Brown, Sr, age 71, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Nashville. James was born on April 9, 1947 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Katherine Brown.
James was a 1968 graduate of Cameron High School. He was a longtime on-air DJ with WVOL radio and was a faithful fan of the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators. He was also an avid nature lover. James was a former member of the Princely Players singing group where he was known as “Bootsie”.
He is survived by his son, James Albert (Kimberly) Brown, Jr; granddaughter Toriana N. Brown; great-grandchild Kameron Cole; close friend and caregiver, Cassandra McKissack; and a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019, 12:30 PM at Anointed Life Fellowship Church 1208 McFerrin Ave, Nashville, TN, 37206 with family receiving friends and visitors an hour prior to service.
