Mr. James Austin "Bud" Cagle Jr.'s Obituary
James Austin “Bud” Cagle, Jr., 87, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. Born September 29, 1935, in Nashville, he was the son of the late James Austin Cagle, Sr. and Annie Louise Jackson Cagle.
Bud graduated from North High School in the Class of 1954. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. ‘Roundman’ was a long-time sewing machine mechanic for Werthan Bag Company. He also worked at Triangle Printing and Hinton Printing before retiring. He was a member of Madison First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His family will remember him for his love of cars and always keeping them clean.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Justin Wade Cagle, Sr.; sister Betty Escue.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Faye Ingraham Cagle; son Jeff (Lisa) Cagle; sister Elaine Massa; grandchildren Bret Austin Cagle, Alex Cagle, James Clifton, and Joshua Fulkerson; great grandchildren Justin Wade Cagle, Jr., Kobe Cagle, Keiyon Cagle, Rayden Cagle, Skyla Turner, Rylan Clifton and Vander Clifton.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville on Thursday, May 11. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 12 at 12 pm noon at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside honors will take place in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
