James Harkreader
Jim was my barber for MANY years. I'd known him since I was a teenager when he and "Smitty" bought eggs from my dad in their Barber Shop off Lebanon Rd next to the Dry Cleaners. I'd followed him through several latter moves of the shop until he retired and even after he'd offically retired but still cut hair in a beauty shop on the lower level of Donelson Plaza. That was across from the bowling alley and was where Jack Clariday's shop used to be in the early 60s. I'd remained in touch with Jim over the years and when my Dad passed away in 2004, Jim came to Lebanon to pay his respects. He always could be relied upon to tell a few good stories, especially some service "war-stories" to some of us old veterans and Air National Guard members. Jim was a good man who will be missed by all who knew him.
