Mr. James Floyd Duncan III's Obituary
Mr. James Floyd Duncan, III, age 61 of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020. He was born on October 10, 1958 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James Floyd Duncan, Jr. and Sarah Joann denHertog. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Cornell denHertog and his sister Emily Spruill. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Victoria Duncan, his children Jacob Duncan (Katherine Nixon), Lisa Pruitt (Jason Tolbert), and Christie Townes (Jeremy), as well as his sister Cindy Lewellen (Dave) and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
James was a hard-working, honorable man. He was quite the character and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He always tried to find the humor in everything, no matter the situation. In his younger years, James enjoyed playing hockey and spending time on the lake. It was on one of these cherished lake days that he met his wife Victoria. He was also a huge fan of NASCAR racing and motorcycles - especially Harley Davidson.
A Visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 12pm-2pm with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery have been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Duncan. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
