Mr. James Gary Eddington's Obituary
James Gary Eddington, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2020 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Gary was born on January 29, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee to James Lee and Virginia Bennett Eddington.
Gary grew up in Nashville and raised his family there. He retired from Peterbilt Motors Company after more than 30 years. He was an active member of the Local UAW 1832, and often served as Treasurer. After retirement he cherished the time he got to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He enjoyed having a Booth at the Nashville Flea Market for several years alongside his brother. In his spare time he liked tinkering with his collection of vintage radios.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughters, Diane Autry and Kristy Eddington.
Gary is survived by daughters, Lori Bader (Richard) and Toni Petty; brothers, Glenn Eddington and Jim Eddington (Betty); grandchildren, Matthew Petty(Lindsey), Mckenzie Petty, Chelsey Autry, Justin Bader, Nick Bader, Ryan Bader, and Stephanie White(Eric); , great-grandchildren, Emerie Petty, Mattix Petty, Harli Whilte, Logan White.. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 4-8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 11am-1pm with the celebration of life service to follow at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
