James David Frederick's Obituary
Celebrating the Road James Loved to Travel
July 23rd, 1952 - February 23rd, 2026
We celebrate the beautiful life of James David Frederick, known simply as James or Fred. Born on July 23rd, 1952 in Nashville, TN, he grew into a funny, outgoing, friendly, and loving man whose energy filled every room. His story is one of movement, care, and laughter.
For more than twenty years, James crossed countless miles as a truck driver, enjoying every stretch of open highway. Away from the big rigs, he was happiest detailing all his vehicles until they gleamed. He also kept his lawn in perfect order and loved nothing more than cruising around town in cars. He greatly enjoyed assisting other with favors. Anything they needed he was willing to help with.
Family always rode in the front seat of his life. He was a great dad to Heather Frazor and Chris Frederick, and a joyful grandfather to Robert James Frazor. His memory is treasured by siblings Billy, Wally, Bernie, and Randy Frederick, Faye Dunkin, Margaret Whitman, and Teresa Messick; mother of children, Cindy Frederick and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Viola Frederick, brothers Howard, John, Allen, Benny, and sister Elsie Frederick and partner of 10 years, Carolyn Thaxton Harris.
Thinking of James, we hear the steady hum of the open road and smile, grateful for the ride he shared with us.
Memorial service to be announced at a later date.
