Mr. James Marvin Hall's Obituary
James Marvin Hall, 82, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. Born February 2, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry Johnson and Doris Nell Boone Johnson.
Mr. Hall was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly. He attended Cumberland High School in Nashville where he was a member of the football team. He also sang tenor for a couple of years with a group of Cumberland High School graduates in a band called The Crescendos who were behind the Billboard hit “Oh Julie”. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Ford Glass Plant after 30 years.
He enjoyed painting and hand carving his own fishing lures and fishing with his friends. He was a Little League baseball coach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister that he raised named Vicky Lynn.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Lokey Hall; sons Cary Hall and James Marvin Hall, Jr.; grandchildren Carlee and Caroline.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 12 PM noon until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life lead by Pastor J.D. Buckner will take place at 1 PM on Thursday, December 2, 2021 with the family receiving friends and visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens in Springfield, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association
