James (Jimmy) A. Wright Jr.'s Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. James “Jimmy” Wright, 76, of Nashville.
Mr. Wright proudly served as a soldier in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. He worked as a tire builder for many years which only fueled his love for cars. He spent many nights at the Union Hill dragstrip, and building a small collection of classic cars including his beloved Chevy II Nova.
Jimmy met his darling wife, Wanda, through a mutual friend on a blind date, and the rest was history. The two would have celebrated 45 years married this coming August.
Along with Mrs. Wanda, he is survived by his son, Brandon Gearlds (Victoria); one grandson, Jeremy Gearlds; one sister, Paulette Hill (Jimmy); one brother, Mark Wright (Linda); several nieces and nephews; and special friends Larry East, Terry Nolan, and Ricky Morris.
Along with his parents, Martha Hunt Wright and James Wright Sr., he is preceded in death by one sister, Donna Bower; two nephews, Jeffrey Bower and Kenny Wright; and his precious companion, Honey.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, www.springhillfh.com.
