James Kerby's Obituary
KERBY, James Wallace, age 58, of Nashville, TN, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
James was born on November 3, 1967, in Nashville, TN, to the late Lilly Kerby. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Robert, and his niece, Jamie Newson.
He is survived by his church family at Pasquo Church of Christ, his friend and preacher Marc Jones, his longtime friend John Jones, his lifelong friend Jimmy Hesson, and his beloved dogs. James was extremely grateful for every helping hand and kind word he received over the last year.
James was a graduate of David Lipscomb University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He never met a stranger, and he tried each day to live a life that honored God. James valued the people in his life deeply, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service and celebration of James’s life will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
