James Wesley McKinney's Obituary
James Wesley McKinney, 76, of Ardmore, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
He lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. James was more than a gentle giant; he was a towering presence in the hearts of those who knew him. His hands, once skilled at roofing, now rest in eternal peace. The roofing company he owned was not just about shingles and nails—it was a testament to his hard work, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
Beyond the rooftops, James found solace in the simple joys of life. His mornings were filled with the clucking of chickens, their feathers catching the morning sun. He tended to them with care, finding solace in their rhythmic pecking and the earth beneath his boots.
But perhaps James’s greatest achievement was his enduring marriage. For 54 years, he stood side by side with his beloved wife, Paulette, weathering life’s storms and basking in its sunsets. Their love was a shelter, a refuge against life’s tempests.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled in the coming months.
