Mr. James "Cotton" Murray's Obituary
James W. “Cotton” Murray passed away October 3, 2017 in Davidson County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter William Murray, Ruby Lee Cole Murray; sisters, Doris and Amelia Murray.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Eleanor Murray; sons, Billy (Ginger) Murray, Bobby (Belinda) Murray, Bain (Donna) Murray; sister, Martha Ann (Julian) Bass; grandchildren, Cole (Amanda) Murray, Anne Murray, Will (Kait) Murray, Bainbridge Murray, Mason Murray; great-grandchildren, Ellie Murray, William Murray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cotton was a retired Chief electrical inspector for Metro Nashville Codes Department. He was a generous and well-liked man. Cotton was known for his great sense of humor and kind heart. He touched the lives of so many people and will truly be missed.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 6, 2017 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 4-8pm. Visitation on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 11am-2pm. A celebration of life funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2pm.
