James “Mike” Orrick age 63, passed away April 12, 2013. Preceded in death by his mother Mary Inez Orrick; brother Jerry Verlon Orrick; and sister-in-law Linda Dickey. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kathy Massey Orrick; son Brian Biggs (Dorinda); daughter Jennifer Lee and fiancé Kyle Gregory; grandchildren Brianna Post, Tristan Lee, Dakota Biggs, Emberlynn Biggs and Atalaya Biggs; father James Verlon Orrick; brother David Orrick (Tammy); sister Terri Foutch (Buddy); mother and father-in-law, Iva and William Nathan Massey; brother-in-law Nathan Massey (Debbie).
Mike was the maintenance supervisor for First Baptist Church of Joelton and was a member of Hermitage Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid Braves and Vanderbilt Baseball fan; loved music and golf; but the most important part of his life was family and being Paw Paw to his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, April 15, 2013, 12:00 noon in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Plummer and Pastor Rondy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00-6:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
