Mr. James Robert Pomeroy's Obituary
Mr. James Robert Pomeroy, age 71 of Madison, Tennessee passed away on October 11, 2021. He was born on November 23, 1949 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Leslie and Etta Pomeroy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Pete Pomeroy (Connie) and Buddy Pomeroy (Sharon). He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Pomeroy, children Jamie Pomeroy (Jessica), Laura Chambers (Anthony), and Leanna Phillips; sister Linda, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
James was a loving husband and father. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and loved them all dearly. He enjoyed playing pool and golf as well. He was a graduate of East High School, and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. During the time of his service, he received a National Defense Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 12pm. The family will be receiving visitors two hours prior to the service. Burial in Nashville National Cemetery will follow with full Army Honors.
