Mr. James Lowell Porter's Obituary
James (Jimmy) Lowell Porter, age 65, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019. He is preceded in death by his mother, Blanche Dorris; father, James Porter; sister, Kelly Gunckel. He is survived by his step father, Norman Dorris; three brothers, Phil Dorris, Gerald Dorris, Mike Dorris; niece, Kristy Haley (Chad); nephew, Michael Gunckel (Cassie); great-nephews, Caden and Mason.
Jimmy was a kind-hearted soul who's love of reading was passed down to him from his mother. He enjoyed staying current on news and political events. Jimmy was well-known among his family and friends for his love of sweet tea and cigarettes. Our Bub will be remembered with much love and fond memories.
The family will host a celebration of life gathering at a later date. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, a Nashville landmark since 1785 “Where Nashville Comes to Remember”
