Mr. James V. "Buddy" Simmons III's Obituary
James V. “Buddy” Simmons III, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Buddy was born to James V. and Ethel Mae (Patton) Simmons II on February 16, 1949 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Buddy retired from the Nashville Fire Department after 44 years of dedicated service.
Buddy is preceded in death by his son Brad Kenney, parents, and sister Faye Bush. He is survived by his loving wife Janet, sons; Scotty (Misty) Simmons and Gregg Kenney; brother Terry (Mary) Simmons, numerous other family members and friends and “Bear” his best friend.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 10am-12pm. A memorial service will begin at 12pm in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Nashville Humane Society.
