James Sisco's Obituary
James Sisco, 82, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Born May 9, 1940, in Haydenburg Ridge, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Delbert Grant Sisco and Grovie Shadie Witcher Sisco.
Jim was bigger than life. He loved adventure and lived an ‘all gas, no brakes’ lifestyle. His love affair with cars began early in life when he bought his first car at the age of 12. He graduated from Madison High School in the class of 1956. He owned and operated his own real estate company, the Jim Sisco Company. He also owned and operated LSI Records and Recording Studio on Music Row as well as the Wings of a Dove Museum at Twitty City. Jim was an avid reader and a student of American History. He was a loving husband, father, brother and ‘Paw Paw’ who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Connie Smith; sister Moneda Blanche Sisco; brothers Dalo Dean Sisco, Harlan Truman Sisco, and Harold Rodley Sisco; son-in-law Brent Smith; granddaughter-in-law Heather England Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth Charlene Sisco; daughter Cynthia (David) Fish; sister Mary Odetta Brasel; grandchildren Amanda (Joe) Chapman, Charles Brent Smith II, and Lauren Eliza Fish; great grandchildren Ford Chapman and Charlie Smith III; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville on Tuesday, October 18, from 11 am until 3 pm. A graveside service will follow at 3 pm in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
