Mr. James Ryan Swift's Obituary
James Ryan Swift, 41, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Born May 11, 1979, he was the son of Robert Dennis Swift and Sandra Lee Andrews.
He is survived by his significant other, Amanda Barnett; daughter Kaleigh Reese Swift and son Alexander Lee Swift; Brother, Robert Lee Swift (Angela) and Sister, Mary Gayle Swift. Nieces Jada Nicole Swift, Ashlee Michelle Swift, Savannah Nava and the late Robert Andrew Wayne Swift “Andy”.
Over the years he became an amazing artist. Not only with a pencil, but also a tattoo gun. He was also a sports enthusiast. He was a diehard Florida State Seminoles fan. He thoroughly enjoyed trading sports cards on the internet. He loved the spirit of friendship and community that he had developed within the sports groups. Some of his best friends were people he only knew online. Ryan was waiting eagerly to see how many rushing yards Derrick Henry would make in the 2020 season with our Tennessee Titans.
Ryan loved family tradition and was proud to serve the best homemade mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving and Christmas. He also had the ability to make anyone laugh in the room at any time.
A Celebration of His Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 30 at 2 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home on Gallatin Road with Pastor Kevin Schrum Officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM (limited attendance due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic).
Because of Ryan's selfless decision to be an organ donor, he gave the gift of life to others in need.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home Cemetery,
5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
